While formally opening the Commonwealth Youth and Students Summit in Abuja, the President made the comments.

He promised that Nigeria would continue to foster an environment that allows young people to realize their potential while being represented by Chief of Staff Ibrahim Gambari.

Buhari expressed hope that the summit would result in concrete policy decisions that would further the growth and productivity of young people.

The President noted that in fields like ICT, robotics, AI, e-commerce, and others, the young are setting the pace.

Nigeria has made significant investments in the advancement of young people, establishing organizations like the Youth Congress, National Youth Council of Nigeria, National Association of Nigerian Students, and Youth Parliament, among others. ”.

He continued, "The government continues to be dedicated to the realization of Commonwealth values and believes in the ability of youth to make a difference.
