AFCON: Tinubu expresses dissatisfaction with Super Eagles' recent performance

The Minister of Sports Development, Sen. John Owan Enoh, shared that President Bola Tinubu expressed his dissatisfaction with the Super Eagles' performance in their recent Africa Cup of Nations Group A match against Guinea-Bissau.

Enoh conveyed this message during a Zoom meeting with the Super Eagles players and coaches, emphasizing that although the President was not too impressed with the last match, he believes the team will step up their game in the knockout stages.

President Tinubu reportedly assured Enoh that he has been closely following the matches and expects the team to be more impressive now that they are in the Round of 16.

Enoh also reminded the players of the unpredictability of tournament dynamics, citing the example of Egypt in the 2022 tournament.

He conveyed the overwhelming support from Nigerians and encouraged the team to aim for success, echoing the sentiment of the NFF slogan.
