AFCON 2023: Super Eagles Advised on Strategies to Overcome Cameroon's Strength

Super Eagles defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel, has offered advice to Jose Peseiro’s team on how to secure victory against Cameroon in the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast. The clash between Nigeria and Cameroon is set for the AFCON Round of 16 on Saturday at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan.

Osayi-Samuel emphasized that the key for the Super Eagles lies in focusing on their own strengths. Despite acknowledging Cameroon's formidable team, the Fenerbahce player believes that Nigeria can capitalize on their own abilities to gain an upper hand in the match.

As quoted by Soccernet, Osayi-Samuel stated, “It’s knockout now; there are no free points. It is either you win, and you are through, or you lose, and you are out. Cameroon has a very strong team. They have got good players, but if we are focused on ourselves and look at what we can do, how we can hurt them, I think we have a very good chance of winning the game.”
