Super Eagles coach Peseiro conceded, "Ivory Coast were better."

Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro, conceded that the Elephants of Ivory Coast outperformed Nigeria following their loss in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final. 

Sebastien Haller's late winner secured a dramatic come-from-behind victory for the hosts Ivory Coast, as they defeated Nigeria 2-1 in the final match. 

In his post-match interview, Peseiro acknowledged Ivory Coast's superiority on the night, stating, "Ivory Coast were better than us today." 

He expressed sadness over the defeat, both for himself and his team, but commended their efforts, noting that sometimes despite the desire to excel, achieving it proves challenging.
