Daddy Freeze Maintains Innocence as Court Upholds N5M Adultery Fine

Popular media personality Daddy Freeze has reacted after the Court of Appeal upheld a N5 million fine against him for alleged adultery. Despite the court ruling, Freeze has continued to deny the allegations, insisting he is innocent.

The case dates back to 2021 when a Rivers State High Court ordered Freeze to pay the fine to Paul Odekina, the ex-husband of Benedicta Elechi, Freeze's current wife. The court found that Freeze had committed adultery with Benedicta while she was still married to Odekina.

In his response, Freeze claimed the incident happened over 12 years ago and that he was "going through serious torment" at the time. He stated that his wristwatch alone is worth over N100 million, suggesting the fine is insignificant to him financially.

Freeze has doubled down on his innocence, taking to social media to deny the allegations. He accused the ex-husband of "spreading misinformation" and told him to "tell the world why his ex-wife left him."

Benedicta Elechi, Freeze's wife, has also previously denied committing adultery, claiming she filed for divorce from Odekina due to his "sexual perversion" and that they were intimate just 11 times in 10 years.

Despite the court's ruling, Freeze has vowed not to pay the N5 million fine, saying he would rather donate the money to those in need. He maintains his stance that the allegations are false and that he has never slept with another man's wife.

The case highlights the ongoing legal battle and personal disputes surrounding Daddy Freeze's relationship history. While the courts have ruled against him, the media personality remains adamant about his innocence in the matter.
