Deadly Attack in Benue: Gunmen Kill Six, Raze Buildings in Ukum LGA

 


Suspected armed militias attacked Ayati and Borikyo communities in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State, Nigeria on Wednesday, killing six people and razing several buildings. The assailants are believed to be bandits who have been terrorizing the Middle Belt region of the country.

In a separate incident, three internally displaced persons (IDPs) from the Agagbe Camp in Gwer West LGA were killed on Monday while returning from their farms, and two others were killed in Guma LGA.

The recent attacks highlight the ongoing security challenges in Benue State, where communities continue to face threats from armed groups.
