Southeast Youths Won't Join Protests Against Tinubu Over Hardship, Vows Gov. Uzodinma

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has vowed that youths from the Southeast region will not participate in any planned nationwide protests against President Bola Tinubu's government over the current economic hardship in the country.

Speaking during the grand finale of the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign for local government elections in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Governor Uzodinma claimed that those proposing such protests are "enemies of the country" who want to destabilize the federal government.

The governor argued that the people of the Southeast have no reason to protest against the Tinubu administration, as the federal government is working hard to find lasting solutions to the economic challenges facing the nation.

Uzodinma, who is also the Chairman of the Southeast Governors' Forum, appealed to the youths to give the government more time to address the challenges. He stated that the Tinubu administration is barely a year old and is making efforts to improve infrastructure, increase food security, and deliver on its promises to the people.

The APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, also urged Nigerians to support President Tinubu in his efforts to better the living standards of the people. He expressed confidence that Nigerians will soon have reasons to acknowledge the government's prudence and effective results.

Governor Uzodinma's stance reflects the APC's position in the Southeast, where the party is working to consolidate its political influence and counter any potential protests against the federal government's policies.
