Sports Minister Enoh Warns Team Nigeria: No Excuses for Failure at Paris 2024

In a strong message to Team Nigeria ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics, the Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh, has made it clear that there will be no room for failure. Enoh's statement comes after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved the full budget for the Nigerian contingent to the games.

During a press conference, the Minister emphasized that with the necessary support and resources provided by the government, Team Nigeria has no excuse to underperform at the Olympics. He stated:

"We therefore, have no excuse to fail because we heard stories of athletes complaining about lack of funds, lack of preparation, lack of this and that. But this time around, the President has approved the total budget for the Olympics and the Paralympics."

Enoh's remarks underscore the high expectations placed on Nigerian athletes to deliver impressive results in Paris. The government has left no stone unturned in ensuring that Team Nigeria is well-prepared and equipped for the games.

The Minister's warning comes at a time when the nation is eagerly anticipating a successful outing for its athletes. Nigeria has set its sights on improving its performance from the previous Olympics, where the country won a total of 7 medals (1 gold, 2 silver, 4 bronze).

As the countdown to the Paris 2024 Olympics begins, the pressure is on for Team Nigeria to rise to the occasion and make the nation proud. With the full support of the government and the Minister's unwavering confidence, the athletes have been challenged to give their best and bring home the desired results
