Police Apprehend Suspect in 20-Month-Old Edo Train Station Attack and Kidnapping Case

The Edo State Police Command has arrested a suspect, Ehis Jonah, 26, in connection with the attack and kidnapping incident at the Igueben train station that occurred on January 7, 2023. The arrest comes nearly two years after the incident, which saw armed assailants target the train station, leading to the abduction of several individuals.

Some of the victims were later released, while the police have now apprehended one of the suspects, Jonas Ehis, believed to be involved in the attack. The 26-year-old suspect was arrested in Edo Central.

In a related development, the police have also arrested three more suspects in connection with the kidnapping at the Ekekhen train station in Igueben Local Government Area
