Dispute Arises as Dangote Refinery Claims NNPCL Fails to Deliver Agreed Crude Volumes
The Dangote Refinery has raised concerns over the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) not meeting its crude supply commitments.
While NNPCL stated that Dangote could only deliver 16.8 million liters out of an agreed 25 million liters, Dangote claims it has already supplied 111 million liters in just three days.
The refinery's management insists that despite these discrepancies, they have not accused NNPCL of failing to supply crude, but rather highlighted issues with the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission's enforcement of domestic supply obligations.
The ongoing conflict underscores the challenges in Nigeria's oil supply chain and regulatory environment.
