"FCT Minister Keyamo Unveils Initiatives to Enhance Airport Service Delivery"

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, has introduced a series of new initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery and maintaining environmental cleanliness at Nigerian airports. These initiatives are designed to meet the expectations of travelers and improve operational standards across the nation's aviation sector.

Key Initiatives Announced

1. **Appointment of Special Airport Marshals**:

   - Keyamo plans to appoint voluntary Special Airport Marshals who will conduct unscheduled visits to monitor staff conduct and assess airport conditions. These marshals will be drawn from various sectors, including NGOs and media representatives, and will report directly to the Minister.

2. **Unscheduled Airport Inspections**:

   - The Minister will personally conduct unscheduled monthly inspections of airports alongside key officials. This initiative aims to demonstrate leadership and ensure that airport staff uphold professionalism in their service delivery.

3. **Stakeholder Consultations**:

   - Keyamo will engage with stakeholders to identify and appoint suitable candidates for the Special Airport Marshal roles, ensuring transparency and accountability in the process.

These initiatives reflect Keyamo's commitment to improving the overall experience for passengers at Nigerian airports and ensuring that facilities meet high standards of cleanliness and service. The Minister emphasized that these measures are part of a broader strategy to modernize the aviation sector under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

By implementing these changes, the Ministry aims to enhance customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and environmental standards within Nigeria's aviation industry.
