Osita Okechukwu Urges Tinubu to Address Nigeria's Debt Crisis for Economic Relief

Former Director-General of the Voice of Nigeria, **Osita Okechukwu**, has called on President **Bola Tinubu** to take urgent action to alleviate Nigeria's escalating debt burden.

After reviewing the 2025 national budget, Okechukwu expressed concern that the current debt levels threaten the nation's democracy and divert essential resources from critical sectors like health and education.

He emphasized the need for fiscal restructuring and proposed the establishment of a high-powered panel to review Nigeria's debt portfolio.

Okechukwu warned that without decisive measures, the country risks falling deeper into a debt trap that could hinder economic recovery and growth.
