Judge Recuses Self from Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s Case After Akpabio’s Petition"

Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court in Abuja has recused himself from hearing the case filed by suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District. 

The decision follows a petition from Senate President Godswill Akpabio challenging the judge's impartiality. 

Justice Egwuatu announced that the case file would be returned to the Chief Judge for reassignment to another judge.

This development adds complexity to Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan's legal challenge against her suspension, potentially delaying proceedings. 

The case now awaits reassignment by the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court.
