JAMB Directs Candidates to Print UTME Slips

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has instructed candidates preparing for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to begin printing their examination notification slips ahead of the exercise.

UTME Set to Begin April 16

According to JAMB, the UTME is scheduled to commence on April 16, and candidates are required to print their slips to access vital details about their exams.

The slip contains important information such as:

  • Examination date

  • Venue/centre

  • Time of the exam

  • Candidate’s registration details

Why Printing the Slip Is Important

JAMB emphasized that the notification slip is a mandatory document for all candidates, as it serves as proof of registration and eligibility to sit for the examination.

Without it, candidates may not be allowed into their assigned centres.

How to Print UTME Slip

Candidates are advised to:

  1. Visit the official JAMB portal

  2. Log in using their registration details

  3. Download and print the examination slip

The board also recommended printing the slip early to avoid last-minute technical issues.

JAMB Issues Key Guidelines

The examination body urged candidates to:

  • Arrive at their centres early

  • Adhere strictly to exam rules and regulations

  • Avoid malpractice and unauthorized materials

JAMB reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on examination malpractice.

Final Note

With the UTME just days away, candidates are encouraged to complete all necessary preparations, starting with printing their slips.

The board assured the public of its readiness to conduct a smooth and credible examination nationwide.
