Drug test results for Osimhen and two other Super Eagles players in AFCON confirmed.

 

The drug test results for three Super Eagles players—Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, and William Troost-Ekong—conducted during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations have returned negative.

Random tests were administered after Nigeria's 2-0 victory over Cameroon in the Round of 16. Lookman's two goals in that match secured the Eagles' spot in the quarterfinals against Angola. 

Osimhen and Troost-Ekong have also contributed a goal each in the tournament. 

With negative test results, all three players are expected to be available for selection in the upcoming match against Palancas Negras.
