Breaking News: Women in Niger Protest on Streets Against Hunger and High Living Costs.

On Monday morning, a group of women in Niger State staged a protest, blocking the Kpagungu axis of Minna-Bida Road to express their grievances against hunger and the high cost of living.

The women, carrying placards with messages like "No food, we are dying of hunger," called for an improved standard of living and a reduction in the cost of living.

They voiced frustration over political leaders' perceived indifference to their struggles, highlighting their inability to afford even one meal a day.

The protest caused a traffic gridlock on Minna-Bida Road, a crucial link between the North-Central and South-West regions.

Police intervened, using teargas to disperse the protesters, resulting in commotion at the scene.
