Charles Inojie has described Mr. Ibu as irreplaceable in Nollywood

 


Nollywood actor and director Charles Inojie has expressed deep sorrow over the death of his colleague, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, describing it as an "irreparable loss" to the Nigerian movie industry. Inojie emphasized that Mr. Ibu was unique and irreplaceable in Nollywood, highlighting that casting him alone was enough to make a movie a blockbuster.

In an interview with Channels TV, Inojie praised Mr. Ibu's exceptional talent, noting that he could convey a myriad of messages through his facial expressions, body language, and gestures without uttering a single word of dialogue. He emphasized that Mr. Ibu's comedic prowess was unparalleled and that his absence would be deeply felt in the industry.

Mr. Ibu passed away from cardiac arrest at the age of 62. His death has sparked an outpouring of tributes from fans and colleagues, who remember him for his comedic genius and his ability to bring joy to audiences across Africa.
