AMPRAC Denies Any Link to Slain Lagos Kidnapping Suspect Henry Odenigbo

The Association of Movie Practitioners (AMPRAC) has firmly denied any association with Henry Odenigbo, the suspected kidnapper who was killed in a shootout with police in Lagos.

In a statement released on Saturday, AMPRAC distanced itself from Odenigbo, clarifying that he was not a member of their organization. The association expressed its commitment to upholding the integrity of the Nigerian film industry and dissociating itself from criminal elements.

The denial comes after reports emerged linking Odenigbo to the movie industry, with some suggesting he was a filmmaker. However, AMPRAC has now categorically stated that the slain suspect was not affiliated with their group in any way.

This development underscores the importance of maintaining a clear distinction between the legitimate activities of the Nigerian movie community and the actions of individuals involved in criminal activities. AMPRAC's swift response aims to protect the reputation of the industry and ensure that it is not tarnished by association with such incidents.

As the investigation into the Ladipo kidnapping case continues, AMPRAC's statement serves as a reassurance to the public that the association is committed to promoting professionalism and ethical practices within the Nigerian film sector.
