WWE Legend John Cena Bids Farewell, Announces Retirement After 24 Years



 John Cena, the renowned American actor and wrestler, has announced his retirement from competing in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) events. The 47-year-old made the surprise announcement during his appearance at the WWE Money in the Bank event in Canada on July 6, 2024.

Cena, who has been a part of the WWE since 2001, revealed that his final wrestling bout will take place in 2025 as part of a farewell tour. He is widely recognized as one of the greatest professional wrestlers in history, having won the world champion title an impressive 16 times.

During his announcement, Cena expressed his gratitude to the fans, acknowledging their support over the years. He thanked them for allowing him to perform in the arena they helped establish.

Despite his retirement from in-ring competition, Cena plans to remain connected to the WWE family in some capacity. He has also expressed his desire to continue his acting career, which took off in 2006 with his debut in The Marine, leading to roles in several blockbuster movies such as The Suicide Squad, Fast & Furious 9, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Cena has set a Guinness World Record for fulfilling the highest number of wishes for children with critical illnesses through Make-A-Wish, further cementing his legacy as a beloved figure in the entertainment industry
