Tragic Violence: Son Severely Injures Mother with Machete in Ogun State

 

In a shocking incident in Ogun State, Nigeria, a 30-year-old man named Ayobami Oyeleye has been arrested for brutally attacking his 65-year-old mother, Esther, with a machete. The assault occurred during a dispute on a Tuesday night in Akibo village, leading to severe injuries.

Neighbors were alerted by the sounds of the altercation and rushed to the scene, where they found Esther lying in a pool of blood. She had both hands severed and sustained a deep cut to her head. Eyewitnesses reported that Oyeleye was found standing beside her, still holding the weapon used in the attack.

Esther was immediately taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. The Ogun State Police confirmed Oyeleye's arrest and stated that an investigation is underway, with the cutlass used in the crime recovered from the scene
