Primeboy Sues Police Over Declaration as Wanted

 

Musical artist Owodunni Ibrahim, known as Primeboy, has filed a lawsuit against the Nigeria Police Force for allegedly violating his fundamental human rights. 

This legal action follows the Lagos State Police Command's declaration of him as wanted on October 4, 2023, due to his failure to respond to a police invitation related to the investigation into the death of singer Mohbad.

Primeboy's lawyer, Akinpelu Ogunbona, stated that the suit was submitted to the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, on October 11. 

The artist seeks to have his name removed from the wanted list and claims that the police's actions contravene his rights. Primeboy had surrendered to authorities shortly after being declared wanted, amid ongoing controversies surrounding Mohbad's death.
