CAF WCL: Edo Queens Lose Third Place Match on Penalties

 

Edo Queens faced a disappointing defeat against Egypt's FC Masar, losing 4-3 in a penalty shootout during the third-place match of the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League. 

The match ended in a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes of intense play. 

Both teams had previously drawn in their group stage encounter. 

FC Masar successfully converted four penalties, while Edo Queens managed to score only three. 

As a result, FC Masar took home $350,000, while Edo Queens received $300,000 for their fourth-place finish. 

The final will feature hosts AS FAR against TP Mazembe.
