Abia Government Condemns Judiciary Workers' Protest Amid Strike

The Abia State Government has criticized the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) for organizing a protest in front of a sealed court complex.

The protest is part of an ongoing strike that resumed on January 2, 2025, over unpaid salaries and the implementation of the minimum wage.

Despite the government's denial of owing judiciary workers, the strike continues, causing disruptions to legal activities across the state.

The Abia government expressed surprise at the protest, stating that negotiations were underway.

The situation remains tense, with the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) leaders intervening to demand immediate action to resolve the crisis
