Abia State Declares War on Corruption in Civil Service

The Abia State Government has officially launched a campaign against corruption within its civil service, urging civil servants and stakeholders to join the fight.

Governor Alex Otti emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, revealing plans to prosecute 11 civil servants involved in pension fraud.

He stated that the government is committed to sanitizing the civil service and has already made significant progress by recovering nearly N90 billion of the N191 billion debt inherited from previous administrations.
