Sanusi Faces Backlash Over Criticism of Tinubu’s Economic Policies

 

Former Central Bank Governor Lamido Sanusi has come under fire for his critical remarks regarding President Bola Tinubu's economic policies. 

At a recent event, Sanusi stated he would not assist the administration, claiming that the current economic challenges were largely predictable and avoidable. 

In response, the federal government accused him of undermining necessary reforms due to a "shift in loyalty." 

Information Minister Mohammed Idris urged Sanusi to prioritize national interests over personal grievances, asserting that the administration's reforms are essential for Nigeria's long-term stability and growth.
