Edo PDP Accuses Police of Complicity in APC's Violent Takeover of Secretariat

 

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State has accused the police of aiding All Progressives Congress (APC) officials and thugs during the recent violent takeover of their secretariat in Benin City. 

PDP Chairman Tony Aziegbemi described the incident as a brutal assault on democracy, claiming that he was attacked while trying to defend the office. 

The APC, led by Chairman Jarrett Tenebe, asserted that they were reclaiming their rightful property after being forcibly evicted four years ago. 

The situation has sparked outrage, with calls for accountability regarding police involvement in the conflict.
