Appeal Court Affirms Julius Abure as Labour Party National Chairman

 

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has reaffirmed Julius Abure as the National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP).

 In a ruling delivered on January 17, 2025, Justice Hamma Barka upheld a previous judgment from November 2024, confirming that Abure's position remains valid and has not been overturned by any other court. 

The decision came in response to appeals from Senator Esther Nenadi Usman and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which the court deemed outside its jurisdiction.

 The ruling reinforces Abure's leadership amidst ongoing disputes within the party.
