Jigawa Government Allocates N250 Million to Combat Child Malnutrition"

 

The Jigawa State Government has committed N250 million to procure Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Foods (RUTF) as part of its efforts to combat child malnutrition. 

This initiative aims to address severe malnutrition among children in the state.

 The allocation is a matching fund that will support the distribution of RUTF, which is crucial for treating wasting in children. 

This move follows UNICEF's recognition of Jigawa's innovative approaches to nutrition, including the Masaki program, which has been recommended as a model for other states to follow145
