2026 UTME/DE: JAMB Urges Candidates to Create Profiles Ahead of Registration

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has advised prospective candidates for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) to create their profiles ahead of the commencement of registration.

JAMB explained that early profile creation would help candidates avoid last-minute challenges and ensure a smooth registration process once the sale of forms begins. The Board noted that candidates are required to generate their profiles through approved channels using their National Identification Number (NIN).

According to JAMB, creating a profile in advance allows applicants to verify their personal details, correct possible errors, and prepare necessary documents before visiting accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.

The examination body further urged candidates to rely solely on official JAMB platforms for information and to avoid unapproved agents, warning that such practices could lead to mistakes and possible disqualification.

JAMB assured candidates that further updates on registration timelines and examination schedules would be communicated through its official channels.
