JAMB to Commence Sale of 2026 UTME, Direct Entry Forms January 26; Announces Registration and Exam Timetable

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disclosed that the sale of application forms for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) will begin on January 26, 2026.

The Board stated that registration will take place within a specified period, while the examinations will be conducted on scheduled dates later in the year to allow candidates ample preparation time.

Prospective applicants have been advised to register only at approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across the country, as JAMB cautioned against using unauthorised agents to avoid errors that could jeopardise their applications.

JAMB further emphasised that possession of a valid National Identification Number (NIN) remains a compulsory requirement for all candidates.

Applicants seeking admission through the Direct Entry route were urged to ensure proper upload and verification of their academic qualifications to prevent delays during the admission process.

The examination body assured candidates and the public of a seamless registration and examination process, noting that improved technology, enhanced security measures, and stricter monitoring have been put in place.

Candidates were encouraged to follow official JAMB platforms for timely updates on registration deadlines, mock examinations, and the UTME schedule.
