JAMB Warns 2026 UTME Candidates: False Information May Cost You Admission

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has warned candidates registering for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) that providing false information could lead to disqualification and possible loss of admission.

The examination body advised prospective candidates to ensure that all personal details submitted during registration are accurate and verifiable, stressing that discrepancies could attract serious consequences.

According to JAMB, issues such as incorrect names, wrong dates of birth, false state of origin, or mismatched credentials may affect candidates during admission screening and clearance processes.

The board reiterated that candidates should register only at approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres and avoid third-party interference that could result in data errors.

JAMB emphasized its commitment to maintaining the integrity and credibility of the examination process, urging candidates to comply fully with guidelines to avoid complications.

The 2026 UTME remains a critical requirement for admission into universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education across Nigeria.
