UTME 2026: JAMB Issues 17-Day Deadline for Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a 17-day ultimatum to candidates preparing for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to complete required registration and documentation processes.

According to the examination body, the deadline is intended to ensure that all candidates comply with registration guidelines and avoid last-minute challenges that could affect their participation in the examination.

JAMB officials advised prospective candidates to complete their registration at accredited centres, verify their details, and follow all instructions carefully before the deadline expires.

The board emphasized that no extension may be granted after the stipulated period, urging candidates to act promptly to avoid missing the opportunity to sit for the examination.

The UTME remains a key requirement for admission into Nigerian universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education, making timely registration essential for prospective students.
