Doctors Declare Three-Day Strike in Abuja, Shut Hospitals Over Unpaid Salaries

Doctors in Abuja have embarked on a three-day strike, shutting down government hospitals across the city, including those in Wuse, Asokoro, Maitama, Kubwa, Zuba, Kwali, Abaji, and others.

The strike, initiated by the Association of Resident Doctors, Federal Capital Territory Administration (ARD FCTA), is in response to unpaid salaries and allowances for doctors employed in 2023.

The doctors are also demanding the implementation of the Medical Residency Training Fund for 2024 and the payment of hazard allowances.

If their demands are not met, the strike may become indefinite
